As Dave said. It takes a good, experienced ear to hear what you are looking for.
At the very least, you need a long scredriver of pipe to hold on the axle. With a pipe at the very end of the axle where each bearing is, an experienced Ear can hear a Bad growl vs a normal growl. The clicking noise you hear is probably Normal Lash in the Differential caused by the No Load situation you have with it being up off the ground.
I still vote for the Center Support Bearing being your problem. It's more common then Axle bearing failure and it follows road speed just as the Axles do.
