Unfortunately, based on my experiences of buying a near-pristine garage queen 1800E from CT, driving it back to the Midwest, and then using it year round as my only car for a while. Until, despite lots of washing (I know darn well what salt does to a car, and tried my best to stop it) it just started rusting all over.
