REPLACE HEAD GASKET ON A 1993 940 WAGON

If you are asking if you can remove and replace the head yourself, probably so since you have done struts. I suspect the instructions are in the 700/900 FAQs. But, it sounds like your question might be about doing the machine shop part yourself. If that is the question, clarify it.

When you say:

I have also considered buying a remanufactured head and putting that on the car. The local garage quoted me a total price of between $800 to $900.

I can’t tell if the garage wants $8 - $900 for doing the work or for a reman head. If that price is to R&R the head and do the machine work, it sounds about normal.
