Low Friction Engine 200

The '94 B230FT motor I got from a 240K mile car in the junkyard as a core for my 16V turbo motor build still had crosshatching in the bores.

All Volvo motors, for whatever reason, tended to have 'top heavy' pistons - with a lot of distance between the crown of the piston and the wrist pin. Not sure why, the geometry of it makes you think it would be more prone to cocking the piston in the bore.

93+ motors have the piston squirters, designed to run even tighter clearances, though.
