"My nut was actually 37mm, but with some minor grinding a 36mm socket was made to fit (they don't make a 37 and a 38 (11/2") jumps to a 3/4 drive" -- While the old VW beetles used 36mm for the axle nuts and flywheel gland nut I've always used a 1 and 7/16 inch socket for those jobs and for the B18/20 cam nut. -- Dave
