Rex Mystery Solved...Finally 700

A lot of reading here if you want to catch up on my saga.

1990 740 Rex Regina mystery continued (longish)

This ended up being a faulty ignition computer. After testing all of the components MANY times, replacing the knock sensor and the oxy sensor, I ruled out everything but one of the computers.

I've only seen one other thread on here where one of these has failed. That was due to a bad ground at PS pump. Not the case on my car so I have no idea what happened to it. Disected it and do not see anything unusual (bad solders were what I expected).

So yes, your rex ign computer could go kaput. Highly unlikely but possible. So as most on here suggest, check the usual suspects first instead. Special thanks to dinomartino (John) for letting me try a known good computer. Art and Bruce, thanks to you guys too when I was about to throw a match on it last fall.
