Potentially dangerous hack around an ECU problem 700 1990

Yes, I'm 99.9% sure it's the ECU.

Failure to provide the Fuel relay ground is a known problem with certain ECUs having Bosch # ending in 561 (I think). Search on it here or start a new thread on the question.

You can be sure it's the ECU if the car doesn't start when you disconnect that "extra" ground.
