Potentially dangerous hack around an ECU problem 700 1990

If you do not have a replacement controlbox, there are options. To prevent the fuel pump running when the engine is not, you can mount a cheap switch with a 12V bulb in it into the dash in series with the 'missing' ground, using the bulb in series with the switch. You still have to turn it off when you want the pump to stop with the ignition on, and it has no safety features, but the light reminds you to turn it off.
