Unless you're an accomplished body repair man or have a lot of money to pay a body shop, stay away from it. My motto is that I or even a mechanic can fix anything mechanical for a fixed price that is not to hard to determine. Starting to fix a rusted out 40 year old vehicle is like opening a can of worms. You just don't know what you're going to run into. My son-in-law is an accomplished body repair man. He has been restoring a 69 Camero for 15 years. He's replaced nearly every piece of sheet metal on the car. The only thing that was usable was the frame. He's got over $20000 in it and he's done the work. But it's a challenge to him and he likes the 'process'. I'm selling my 73 142 for around $4000/$5000 and it has absolutely no rust. You can be guaranteed to spend more than that to rebuild the unibody of a rusted 140 Volvo.
