I have to say, when I tore the dash apart on this car and found two antenna cables, and then the contacts at the base of the windshield, I was flabbergasted. I had no idea Volvo did the windshield antenna routine. I remember them so well from our early 70s Oldsmobiles, and I've been trying to remember the cutesy name GM had for them.

Sorry, if I wrote down the various numbers at one point, I've since trashed them. This early car really cries out for the clear glass, so I'm a bit disappointed, but such is life. The strip is not very dark from the supplier I use, so not too noticeable. Also the car is dark green, so less so. By tomorrow noon it will be a foregone conclusion.
