Best method for replacing window lift ? 140-160

Dave,
Thanks for the window offer, I hope it is not necessary but it gives me some confidence to move forward. I like your method, but I will have to wrap my head around the use of the wedge tool to fiqure that out.
Planetman had suggested supporting the tomahawk edge on the edges of 2 X 4 s and gently tap down on the window.
Maybe if I am lucky the tomahawk channel is so rusted that it will fall off easily.

Time to recruit the wife for some extra hands.

All these replies are exactly the response I was looking for and I am very grateful for the time all of you spend on the responses.
