I must be doing somethin' wrong... 140-160

Your calculations seem correct, my fuel consumption is double what it should be. Keep in mind I live 3.5km (2.2mi) from work.

Not allowed to walk/cycle that road due to a bridge, and only 1 bus going there despite me being on a main bus route and a bus stop in front of my work. Bus cost more than my petrol!

Our '98 S40 and '97 VW Sharan (Ford Galaxy) get about 3/4 better mileage doing the same route. Problem is, on the open road my 144 is still not as good as it should be, getting maybe 15 mpg.

The 144 is in storage while we build a new home, then I'll get into fixing it. Actually been in storage for a past 4 years, but end of the year it is time to fix her up.
