Torque Wrench Cautions

Hi Art,
I wouldn't think of flaming you. I routinely lower the torque value for wheel nuts for a few of the cars I own. 100 ft/lbs is way too much....Volvo was more reasonable about their 1/2 inch fasteners, with 65-75 seeming to be the norm.
Quality is everything in torque wrenches as you've noted. I bought a Proto brand many years ago - $70.00 wholesale in the the seventies! And it still works.
One small bit of advice - I was advised that click type wrenches should be released to zero when not in use.
