Interesting. I did not know USA stopped getting the E head after 1972. My 1974 144 owners manual states 4 types of engines for that year: (in Malaysia)
B20A single stromberg
B20B dual strombergs
B20E with CIS
B20F with CIS.

We had the carburetted models until the 1986 240.

I have heard that the 1971 B20E had the highest compression ratio. (most potent version)
