B18B running issue 140-160

I'm going to go over a few things and report back.

For a proper running B18 or B20 non FI that has sat over night in say 40 degree temperature. Full choke. How much cranking duration would one expect before it fires? This B18 cold feels like the carbs are dry when starting cold and need primed by cranking a long time before it will fire. Once it does start and even though its not running real well. It will restart with turn of the key.
