I have barn cats, however, the green mice and rat bait blocks that are self-limiting, that is, they limit what the mouse eats so that a cat or owl won't die from the poison, and glue traps work quite well. Snap traps are fine, but may leave a bloody residue and are hard to place, however, the bait blocks and regular checking of the glue traps gets them for sure.
