Wiper switch 120-130

George, I'll keep your kind offer in mind but I think Eric nailed it! I went back after reading his post and really looked closely at the switch face. Lo and behold, it really did look like only the knob broke off and not the shaft. I even got a pair of needle nose pliers around the shaft and gave a gentle pull, now I know the wipers work! The center of the shaft has a tiny bit of plastic left in there from the knob and I'll mull over Eric's trick for removal.

One other quick question before I move on to next project, what part of the switch activates the washer pump? Do you give the wiper switch shaft a gentle twist or is it at the very last outer position? While testing the wipers I noticed that the off position put the shaft back where I thought it was broken, the next pull got me low speed, the next got me fast speed, and there was one more position that did nothing. Is that the washer position?

Thanks again
