Neutral Safety Switch (PNP Switch): Testing Method? 200 1992

Disassembled NSS and examined contacts on nylon "pointer" and the "pie slice". Did not look noticeably bad. Sanded with very light grit paper all contact surfaces on both pieces. Pressed the two contacts on the "pointer" out a little more. Sprayed with silicone dielectric lubricant, reassembled, mounted and aligned. Started up as should be expected. Test lamp displayed expected results of a functioning NSS. I'm writing off the before cleaning test results as stray voltages.

For the fun of Volvos,
Mike
