TPS sensor miracle when disconnected S90-V90

Voltage appears to change smoothly as far as i can see it on my digital VDOM.

i am not certain if range is acceptable. closed 0.58V-----fully opened 4.3V
i read somewhere it should be 0.2---4.5V


if car shifts smoother when tps is disconnecetd does it mean that TPS is bad???
