TPS sensor miracle when disconnected S90-V90

If the TP sensor was bad (< 0.06V or >4.9V), the ECM should be kicking out a code 2-4-3, unless it's an intermittent problem with spikes or drops which it sounds like you "may" have. But, I am no expert. The book says if the TP is bad, then a 'high idle speed" is the result, not a drivability issue such as you describe.

- You should get ~5V between pin #2 (middle pin) and ground and zero ohms resistance
- Between Pin #1 (right most when looking at connector with clip on top) & ground should have zero ohms resistance.
- Pin #3 and ground should indicate zero volts.

I hope this helps.
