Fun to drive and fun to work on 200 1984

Because I see nothing attractive in the post-240 Volvos (including that 940 Mike just found, sorry) I figure I will need to focus on preserving the 2 series fleet we have. But the one odd car in the family, a daughter's 3 series bmw, is beginning to get my attention, now that it is ten years old. She bought the Bentley for the E46 and put it on my shelf, and I've already learned to do some minor work on it. Like with your transition from CIS (I have 3 CIS Volvos) to LH, "mechanical" to "electrical," the prospect of dealer-only software downloads to replace parts has me just as wary. And it is clear to me I will always enjoy owning what I can take apart and understand.

Dan, I think you would be a perfect fit for Probst's book. Bosch Fuel Injection & Engine Management, How to Understand, Service, and Modify. It is published by Bentley and even more affordable than you'd think.
