I can only speak to the "old school' SAABs

Other things that went wrong with the car: Ball joints and tie-rod ends replaced around 70K. I did some front end work on my 245 at close to the same mileage but I was able to rent the tools and do it myself for a reasonable cost. Not so on the SAAB. I can't remember the details, but I looked into doing the work at home and because of the way the car was designed you had to remove a ton of crap to get to the parts that actually needed service.

Turbocharger was on its way out starting at 90-some-odd thousand miles. I nursed it along until I sold the car.

Electrical problems on a less than 10 year old car (at the time) that my Volvos did not have until they were much older.

Ate front tires, but that could be a front wheel drive thing.

Okay, in the positive, it was an extremely fun car to drive. But that "driving excitement" (another defunct auto manufacturer) cost dearly.
