V90 Sagging Wagon S90-V90

I replaced the worn out OE shocks on the S90 about 40k mi ago with the Monroe Sensa-Trac's (Cat. No. 5978) and they still feel fine. But if I had found gen Volvo shocks at anything close to the Monroe price, that's the way I would have gone.

The installation instructions with the shocks emphasized that the upper and lower mounting bolts on the S90 (and presumably V90) are not parallel - I think it's the upper bolt that is slightly skewed. Thus you need to have shocks specifically designed for the S/V 90 to fit this, and you need to orient the upper end of the shock correctly.

This would seem to preclude adapting shocks - like the ones you mentioned - from other applications.
