Oil pump drive bolt failure

Hi Robert,

Sounds like you are aware of the "notorious" part of this assumed to be B234 story. Much better than I am... and of course I'm curious too about what's on top of the bolt head.

I also did not know the temperature of a torque wrench was such a large factor. After so many years training my muscles to feel the torque and memorize that along with the fastener size, friction factors, etc. I've about given up using a torque wrench except with lug nuts and the very infrequent head gasket or crank bolt. I'm sure a calibration would be an eye opener for me and my cheap Montgomery Ward beam style and Harbor Freight clicker wrenches.

Thanks for your careful response. I will update if I hear anything from Mick.
