Have him post about his problem here. IMO the Chrysler ICU (Ignition Control Unit) doesn't fail often, compared to the distributor Hall Switch/Sender and relate wiring connections.

A manual spark test procedure can isolate a no spark problem to either the Hall switch or the ICU.
