wing window locks 140-160

I start with a razor blade.
Followed up with brake cleaner and a non-lint rag.
Then follow that up with rubbing alcohol and a non-lint rag.
Let it dry thoroughly.
Then use the rear view mirror adhesive.
In my experience, I have found that excessive amounts of adhesive gives a weaker joint. For me, just a drop worked best. And don't clamp it so tight that you squeeze the adhesive out of the joint.
