145 Brake Bleeding Issues 140-160

I've always bled my masters on the car. You'll need an assistant to pump the pedal. Bunch up a rag or paper towels under the master to catch fluid. Remove the brake lines from the master--hold a finger from each hand over the exposed outlets--have assistant gently press down on the brake pedal--you'll feel the pressure on your fingertips--tilt them to direct expelled fluid down onto the rag(s)--with the pedal down hold your fingers tight against the outlets--let the pedal come up---repeat downstroke expelling more fluid--you may feel air bubbles--or not---repeat three or four times--the last time have the assistant get comfortable before pushing pedal down -- have assistant hold pedal down while you reattach the brake lines--tighten them up---have assistant release pedal and then do a hard push to check condition. Rinse any spilled fluid with water. -- Dave
