My knock sensor is new in the last 1-2 years, acutally installed two different ones because concerned first one damaged in shipment.
I'm surprised the knock sensor on LH 2.2 adversely affects timing to the point of MPG. I get the impression 2.2 is a fairly primitive knock sensor design in relation to ECU calculations.
However, I did torque wrench the bolt. What if KS is too loose?
Maybe I should revisit my oxgyen sensor readings...??
