You can check the functionality of the TPS easily. You have an OBD on the car located over or near the drivers side wheel strut.
Place the lead for the OBD in socket #2. press the little black button twice, for 2 sec. each time. The Indicator light will flash rapidly. Gently rotate the throttle lever, a small amount and release. The indicator will flash 3-3-4 if the TPS is good (operating as it should and the ECU is receiving the electrical impulse) If not the light will flash rapidly. This sendor is easily (?) replaced. Cannot be repaired.
