Hi, Onkel,
I've an '84 with that engine and that York 2 cylinder compressor. Some say it makes a jam-up air compressor. I can't say about that. My '84 turned over 184K a few weeks ago. I bought that car, a wagon with the M46, brand new. It has served my family well.
