Steering glitch problem 700 1989

Does it track correctly when going straight? Any other symptoms? Have you checked wheel alignment for any out-of-spec conditions?
This could be many things from rack to binding components, failing bushings, a bent strut tower, rack, binding strut bearings, etc. I do agree with Aleekat. As a starter, you might lube the steering column U-joints liberally with motor oil to eliminate that as an issue.
