Pulled Over for Broken "Taillight' 200 1992

I think your approach might work in theory. But in practice, I doubt it. Most police officers insist on maintaining their dominance and authority under all circumstances - even when they are aware of their error.I'm sure it's part of their training. The most you'll get out of them is being let go without a ticket. As the officer said in my case "I'm not going to stand here and argue with you." Even though I wasn't arguing, but merely trying to explain the concept of the rear fog light as a "safety feature". Besides, showing the sockets, etc. would require opening the trunk and disassembling the cover. Something tells me a state trooper isn't going to risk my pulling out a shotgun to "settle" the matter.
