Yes, tie the calipers to the coil spring. Be careful with the brake lines, don't bend or stress them unnecessarily!

Screwdriver on pads is fine too. Won't bother the ABS.

IMO - If you are going to all this trouble I'd replace the rotors too. With all that work already done it is quick work to replace them.
