Hi,

The paste is only between the module and its aluminium base. There is no paste between the base and car.

I'm not sure if the module shuts down, as a built-in safety feature, when it overheats. I haven't found this mentioned in any manual (Bosch's or otherwise). What we know so far is that when it shuts down there is already some damage in it.

As the paste is almost none in your setup try reapplying it first. Hope this would cure the symptom. But if this goes as before it would be just a short drive.
