Power module borderline failure? 900

Hi Hoola,

Yes it could be the module failing. The usual mode of failure is that it stops functioning when hot and needs considerable time to cool off (about 10 mins or so) before the car could be restarted. But in your situation the car could restart right away.

Borderline failure mode is not commonly seen here (by that I meant instant restart). And this remains to be seen. If this kind of failure exists then I propose this to be mentioned in the FAQ for the benefit of all. Unfortunately power module failure does not produce OBD code.

When the new module comes along we'll know the answer.

Regards,
Amarin.
