I still see a lot of 2/7/9 series here in Northwest Indiana. In fact, as winter bears down I see more. The galvanized cars still hold up pretty well and there is not a more neutral RWD snow car around.

I recently toyed with selling my 940 wagon as I am taking delivery of a new truck this weekend (old mid-1990's 3/4 ton work truck was over-matched by my 9000# enclosed trailer). Then I realized I would have to buy winter tires for the truck to make it my only vehicle and suddenly the $200 a year I pay for insurance and $25 for registration on the wagon did not seem so bad.
