They are locked into the bakelite insert? 120-130

I just grabbed the tip of the needle with a bit of innertube clamped in a locking pliers, and tapped the pliers with a tack hammer to get the needle out. They've been in there so long that the minute amount of brass corrosion is locking them in place. Sine the metering is actually controlled by the space between the base part of the needle and the jet, grabbing the tip is the safest. I don't think the needle ever approaches full extraction from the jet.
