check engine light 900 1993

Speaking from Bosch experience its usually meant the O2 sensor when the CEL lights up. Usually when above 100k miles. The ECT sensor rarely gives any problem. If your car is Regina then I don't have much experience. Follow the check code. Anyway its good to check both sensors, O2 and ECT.

That being said I had successfully extended the life of my Bosch O2 sensor by heating the bulb-end in butane flame until its glowing red (to burn off combustion deposits). Good for another 20k miles. This when I wasn't ready to get a new part.

Regards,
Amarin.
