Re: Car Wouldn't Start After Body Damage Collision

/// The fuel shut off, as I understand it, is the fuel pump relay. It runs for three seconds after cranking then switches to the signal from the engine. If the engine stops, the signal stops, the relay drops out. It should just start again after turning the car off. The pick up is the crank shaft timing pickup. The intank pump should run if the ignition switch in in the run position. You should be able to hear it at the fuel filler tube. You should be able to hear the main pump while cranking and for three seconds after.

Can you hear the fuel pump, the intank pump, have you checked the fuses? It may not crank for another reason.

Give more information so that some one who is an expert can help you.

Will the engine turn over, can you detect ignition spark? Have you checked the system wire from the positive battery post to the distribution rail behind the battery? What does and does not have power?

Sorry I can't offer more.
