It may be simple, check large rubber boot between airbox / throttle body.

mine was ripped and sucking junk in, I had erratic idle and steering wheel shake at idle. large hole on under side was only found after removal and inspection. replacement from Volvo is plastic not rubber and 1 piece VS 2 piece on car from factory.
