Re: Mis-behaving and running lean 700 1987

Kenny, interesting. I got on here tonite to see if anyone had any info on a strange problem that I recently started seeing with my 87 740 230FT wagon (138K) Runs great, MPG = 20, per fill up, since I've had the car on the road, 3k ago. The Hwy milage a is steady 26+ and thats at 70 to 75. What has started to bother me is there are times when it seems not to have the power it normally has (after it has warmed up) I did the base idle setup and built a rig check C02(off MVP site) I had felt it was a little lean along and figured that my be my on/off power problem. When I checked the C02 it was off to the lean side and had to adjust the "pot" on the AMM. It was out better than 3/4 turn (which I have no idea what that really is equal to) It seemed to run pretty good after that for a couple of days, than I started to notice it running lean at about 1/4 throttle. Just rechecked the C02, off again and had to re-adjust! Now I am begining to wonder if something is starting to go away. Just thought I'd add my experince. If you find any thing I would be intrested to know.

Thanks, Lewis
