If you do wind up disconnecting your battery before working under the dash (good idea, especially with the ignition voltage...), be aware that there is a simple device, which is a 9-volt battery and connector which plugs into your cigarette lighter socket, which keeps you from 'losing' your electronic radio codes, etc.(if you have sophisticated electronics in your model). Good thing to keep in the glovebox,too,in case you need service in the future and the battery has to be disconnected. -PD
