If you follow instructions under 700/900 FAQ, flushing and replacing automatic transmission fluid with synthetic is as easy as falling off a log. Moreover, it takes less than an hour and it will cost you nothing but the price of synthetic fluid. Mobil 1 is tried and true and readily available. Castrol synthetic Dexron III is also readily available, but I am not sure that it is true synthetic rather than highly refined oil.
