Yep, me too: I was late to the party when I bought my first turbo. I had no idea the oil was cooled with water until I changed the oil filter and decided to loosen one of those little hoses to find out what was inside. These hoses are in a very vulnerable location: low point in the system, close to turbo heat, soaked with oil. So buy some (real cheap at Borton's) and change them when you change other cooling system parts.
