Okay... I don't get fine acceleration on low octane fuel at all. Unless I run premium my acceleration is directly affected. I remember using 86 or 88 or something once and thinking the turbo was fragged because the acceleration was so awful.
What are some of the other effects of a dying hall sensor? Of a dying o2 sensor? Can I just pull them and clean them as a temporary fix?
My 745t more or less runs fine. The only issues I have are: valve slap/noisy at idle, poor acceleration pre-2800rpms, some squeal from the p/s belt at initial start-up. The latter is just an effect of the ps belt being loose, which I plan to fix when I have a chance to get at it. The former two are the ones I am trying to do something about.
I'm in the process of doing a cold weather fuel economy test now (the temp is finally around 30f or so consistently), but was getting about 24-25mpg highway when I monitored it about a month ago.
Let me know what you think, I'd be interested in hearing your opinion.
Thanks,
Rick
