Heat is what finally worked for me. A visit from Dr. Acetylene did the trick. If you don't have access to him, I suppose that your plumbing torch will work. Heat and spray. Heat and spray. If you have any beeswax around you can touch some to it when it is hot. Beeswax will often penetrate better than oils, and face it, it smells lots better.
