I can NOT use 89 Octane (R+M/2) in my 1985Ti..........

I thought maybe in the dead of winter I could slip a few tanks of 89 octane in.

Nope, the little blue bitch sounds like a bucket o' marbles. It's starts and idles fine, but under even modest acceleration she's a-pingin'. Darn. All tuning parameters seem spot on.

So:

a) I have more carbon build up than I think,
b) the 85's DO have a higher CR than 7.5:1

Almost ready to put some high test in...I'll be driving with an egg under the go pedal until then....
