Around here, all the new car dealers have discount oil specials: half an hour and you're out for about $20, including branded oil and filter. While they don't assign the brightest bulbs to the task, at least the shops know what they are doing. Local service stations are also reasonable. Why ANYONE would use a quick-lub place for anything is beyond me: they explicitly set out to sell you crap you do not need, and their training is strictly sales-based. Fraud.
