Fuel pump priming, 142E 140-160

If the fuel pump is sticking, like from stale fuel, it can be dissambled and cleaned; I just did it last saturday. If the pump is too rust then it is not worth trying to clean. If it is just gummed up, the little metal rods and fuel chamber can be cleaned and reassembled. You might need 2 new o-rings. Sometimes they swell and won't go back together. If the pump runs freely after cleaning it may continue to work once installed, though this has only about a 20% sucess rate for me. FYI Don't run the pump for long with out any gas, it will overheat.
