This may sound arrogant and/or silly, for which I apologize.
When you say: "BTW the compressor turns normally by hand, I cant feel anything unusual as I turn it. " I have to wonder if you are turning the non-engaged clutch which is therefore disconnected from the compressor rotor?
With the belt off, engine off, and the clutch energized (you'll likely have to jump the no-pressure cut out on the receiver/dryer) is the compressor easily turned? There should be some resistance just from the moving internal parts, I would think.
